First stop, lunch, and there’s a Malaysian place across the road from the hotel. Turns out they are amazing.
We ordered Old Fashioned Bak Kut Teh and Char Kway Teow with a side of Multi Grained Rice, shared between the three of us. Looking for light so we could keep going and find second lunch or lunch dessert. It seems when you order Bak Kut Teh, they will top up the broth for free.
Old Fashioned Bak Kut Teh – Much loved meat, bone, tea. The 23 herbs broth consists of pork slices, meatballs, ribs, tofu, mushroom, enoki. Sharing, $23.00
Char Kway Teow – Pillows of silky noodles, wok fried, creating a smoky, indulging dish with fresh prawns, fish cake, Chinese sausage, egg, chives, bean sprout, suggestions of pork lard, with homemade sambal. Embrace the aromatic Char “Wok Hei.” Single,$14.50.
