After the Old Melbourne Gaol tour, it was time for a very late dinner. Stumbled on a place called China Chilli. Strange thing, signage outside said Caribbean Grilled Fish but everything inside said China Chilli. Must have moved.
Turns out it’s a Sichuan style restaurant. Menu is a little limited, we split a Shallots Pancake. Mum had Pork and Vegetable Wonton Soup and I had Sweet Chilli Dumplings. Nice surprise, great flavours. Not too spicy though which is unusual for Sichuan but we did see other tables with large hotpot style orders and masses of chilli so it was probably just what we ordered.
Sweet Chilli Pork Dumplings, Pork and Vegetable Wonton Soup and Shallots Pancake plus cans of Coke and Sprite set us back $43.40. Great value for money.
